Detroit's alpha males

Is Detroit not the greatest city ever? C’mon. There’s early Rome and then there’s Detroit. And early Rome never had St. Patrick’s Day fall on a Saturday, which is about to happen to all of us, Irish and non-Irish alike.
Just in the last couple weeks, Detroiters saw Kid Rock come out in support of Mitt Romney and we also had Jack White play with his new all-female band on “Saturday Night Live.” These are two of our coolest alpha-males, and both guys are doing two totally disparate things.
Kid Rock, son of a car dealer, announced he is willing to lend his hit songs toward the nomination of Romney for president.
White, who now runs a vinyl-heavy record label in Nashville, came out in support of no one. He appeared on the SNL stage as a soon-to-be-middle-aged rock star who only wants to be mellow.
They may seem like two peas in a pod, but Jack White and Kid Rock will never appear on the same stage. Their musical and personal tastes are too different. I don't think White would ever date a girl with silicone breasts.
